will you accept that "WOMEN ARE BORN SINNERS?"

i could still remember an argument before with my Aunt Sonia and Tita Norma about the PUNISHMENT OF WOMANHOOD.

My Grandma died due to complications of diabetes like stroke. she suffered since 1995. before it happened, she was a bubbly happy-go-lucky granny. her husband, my Mamang doesn't want her to exert any effort in doing household chores. she's a neat woman and a religious one. she's a regular sunday mass goer before the 2nd year of her complications. i was so sad everytime i hear her talk like a baby, cry like a kid and her tears that suddenly fall from her eyes. She is my father's mom.

every night we visit NANANG (that's grandma in BATANGAS) in their house, we stay there from 7pm-9pm and sometimes we extend until 12 midnight. we talk with her, giggle with her and let her feel that she in not sick.

i was in the middle of a break when NANANG's helper went to our school and looked for me. i was wondering why she's there. she excused me from my class and told me to go to NANANG's home. i went there alone and i could hearl the mourning cries from afar. when i entered the house, i saw her, in her bed, LIFELESS, EASED.

my lola, mama's mother got sick too. she was admitted so many times in the hospital due to stroke. she's an agriculturist. she perform activities with regards to farming and animal raising. she has a little garden full of beautiful flowers.

after her last admission in the hospital, she totally lost her strength, she's having hard times speaking, she can't walk properly, she can't even sit on her own. Her hands crumpled, her hair were not neatly combed, her smiles were gone, and her laugh were lost. she's embraced by the total silence and sadness. during her weak days, she still performs her daily obligation to GOD, she's a devotee of OUR LADY OF LOURDES, she prays every after 3 hours.

she's in DAVAO when her agony eased. 4years of suffering ate her strength and willingness to survive.

my aunt and my tita, while sharing this story, stressed out a unanimous opinion, pointing out the idea that women are born sinners, my Grandpa from both sides died without too much suffering, it only took a year as the longest.

my ate CHE shared a biblical opinion:

that's why women are prone to sufferings before they die is because they are the one who committed the sin of disobeying GOD.

true! EVE did it. it's in the book of GENESIS when she went to the restricted tree where the serpent is and ate the apple that the serpent gave her. then what about MEN? lately, we had an argument with some of my friends in a SOCIAL NETWORK SITE. definitely girls opposed the idea that WOMEN ARE BORN SINNERS.

this maybe also is the reason why during the IMPERIAL era and even until now, MEN are the ones who are chosen to LEAD, even in the BIBLE, none of the most mentioned women are used to trace a clan and GOD chose a MAN as his only begotten SON. Queens has no place to rule as a kingdom leader, expect during the existence of the DEMOCRATS.

MUSLIM WOMEN usually wear clothes that wraps all their skin and hair. An Islam friend told me that, their women usually wears that trend only during their holy days to prevent Muslim men from committing sin by the seduction that's caused by the beauty of the woman. the right way of wearing it is to cover everything except the eyes.

i was wrong when i thought that WOMEN ARE BORN SINNERS, but rather they were made by GOD and was chosen to grow as MOTHERS, a caring woman, a nurturer, a nurse and a proud human bearer.

during these years, many reports were aired about women abused. some were battered by their husbands, raped, and even killed without no reason.

but this does not mean that the women are cursed.

what really women want is LOVE, CARE and UNDERSTANDING!

they aren't sinners but victims of their soft and humble hearts.
